Examinair Ltd is based at Norwich airport.
The Company is owned and operated by Dr Peter Brueggemann. All medical examinations and consultations are undertaken under consistent medical standard based on considerable experience.
Dr Peter Brueggemann qualified in 1992 at University of Essen, Germany. He started his training in England 1992 in General Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery, qualified as A Fellow of the Royal College Of Surgery of Edinburgh and worked a Registrar in Orthopaedic Surgery. After marrying his British wife Susan, he decided not to return to Germany nor start a position in General Surgery in Philadelphia, USA, after passing the USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Exam).
He soon branched off to start training to become a General Practitioner at Holt Medical Practice with special interest in Orthopaedic and General Surgery.
After passing his PPL (Private Pilot Licence) in 2010 he is a member of the McAully Flying club in Little Snoring, near Fakenham. He is also a club member of the Felthorpe Flying Group near Norwich where he flies the Chipmunk and has got a share in the Tiger moth biplane.
But his passion is building a full size Fokker DR1 Triplane which was flown by the Red Baron, Manfred von Richthofen, in WWI. This aircraft is near completion and is based at Felthorpe airfield.
Because of the interest in flying, he started to train as an Aeromedical Examiner for the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) and took over Examinair from Vincent Kielty in April 2016 and has retired as a General Practitioner 31/03/2018.
